Supporting Communities Beyond Technology
The Dental Integrators Association has always been about more than technology.
At its core, the DIA is a community built on collaboration, service, and a shared commitment to strengthening both the dental industry and the communities we serve.
Across the country, DIA member organizations volunteer their time, provide technical expertise, donate equipment, support charitable clinics, and help power large-scale outreach programs that expand access to care for underserved populations.
From networking infrastructure and imaging support to onsite troubleshooting, operational coordination, and logistics, our members play an important role behind the scenes helping these events operate successfully.
This work is not done for recognition. It is done because service has always been part of the culture of this organization.
Mission of Mercy & Oral Health Outreach
One of the largest areas of community involvement across the DIA is through Mission of Mercy (MoM) and oral health outreach events throughout the United States. Mission of Mercy – National Location.
Mission of Mercy programs and affiliated outreach events provide free dental and healthcare services to underserved and uninsured individuals who may otherwise go without care.
Mission of Mercy clinics operate on a scale many people outside the industry never fully see.
Temporary treatment environments are often built inside convention centers and large event facilities, with dedicated areas for pediatric care, hygiene, oral surgery, restorative treatment, imaging, sterilization, and patient coordination.
Centralized supply operations continuously restock materials, equipment, and instruments throughout the event to keep clinics functioning efficiently.
A typical 120-chair clinic can provide an estimated $2.5 million in dental care over the course of a multi-day event. These clinics often complete hundreds of crowns and thousands of fillings while serving large numbers of patients who may otherwise go without treatment.
Behind every patient served is an enormous operational effort supported by volunteers, providers, technology teams, logistics coordination, and community partnerships working together to make care possible.
This is where many DIA member organizations step in.
Across the country, DIA members support these events by donating time, technology expertise, operational support, equipment assistance, and onsite troubleshooting to help clinics run effectively and efficiently.
Arkansas Mission of Mercy (ArMoM)
DIA member organizations are not only supporting Mission of Mercy events through traditional infrastructure and operational assistance, they are also helping improve how these clinics function in real time.
In 2023, Standard Computer Systems piloted a program with Arkansas Mission of Mercy (ArMoM) using 12 iPads to replace paper-based 2D dental sensor images during patient treatment workflows. While the pilot was well received, the team identified a practical operational challenge: the devices could not maintain battery life throughout the full event day.
Following the success of the initial pilot, the program expanded significantly in 2024.
Standard Computer Systems scaled the initiative to 35 iPads and developed a fully mobile IT support station designed specifically for the event environment. The custom-built rolling station included:
All equipment, labor, infrastructure, deployment, and support for both years were fully donated to Arkansas Mission of Mercy at no cost.
The project demonstrates the kind of operational problem-solving and real-world innovation DIA member organizations bring into community healthcare initiatives.
It also highlights how technical innovation inside community healthcare environments can directly improve patient flow, efficiency, and access to care during large-scale outreach events.
Support also extended beyond technology. Sean Kubin’s wife, Nicole, volunteered as a nurse during both the 2023 and 2024 events, providing triage support for patients throughout the clinics.
This effort reflects what makes the DIA community unique. Members consistently step forward not only with technical expertise, but with time, creativity, operational leadership, and a genuine commitment to helping organizations expand access to care within their communities.
Current DIA Member Participation
DIA member organizations actively support Mission of Mercy and oral health outreach efforts in communities across the country through volunteer time, operational leadership, infrastructure deployment, imaging support, technical expertise, and donated resources.
Current DIA member participation includes organizations such as:
DPC Technology, Coastal Dental, and NOVA Computer Solutions recently supported the Jacksonville Mission of Mercy event through onsite operational and technology support.
Sunset Technologies continues supporting Minnesota Mission of Mercy initiatives, while Standard Computer Systems remains actively involved in Arkansas Mission of Mercy outreach and operational innovation efforts.
Standard Computer Systems has also played a significant role supporting Arkansas Mission of Mercy through donated infrastructure, workflow innovation, mobile device deployment, and onsite operational support.
As participation continues to grow, the DIA looks forward to highlighting and supporting even more member involvement in charitable healthcare and oral health outreach efforts throughout the country.
Harmony Health Clinic
Community impact is not limited to large annual events.
One of the DIA’s first organized philanthropy initiatives was led by Sean Kubin and the team at Standard Computer Systems in support of Harmony Health Clinic, a nonprofit healthcare organization serving uninsured and underserved individuals and families throughout Arkansas.
As Harmony Health Clinic relocated into a new facility and completed a major remodel, the organization needed foundational technology infrastructure to help support daily operations and continued patient care services.
Standard Computer Systems donated the low voltage work and installation services for the project, helping build the foundational infrastructure the clinic relies on to support daily patient care operations. DIA members were also invited to support the effort through equipment and infrastructure contributions that helped complete the network and technology deployment.
Harmony Health Clinic provides medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to the community, making reliable infrastructure and operational stability critical to its mission.
This initiative reflects something important about the DIA community. Members consistently step forward not only to support one another professionally, but also to use their expertise, resources, and relationships to s strengthen the organizations their communities depend on.
Even small contributions can make a meaningful difference in helping organizations like Harmony Health Clinic continue serving patients throughout their communities.
A Community That Shows Up
One of the things that makes the DIA unique is the willingness of members to support each other both professionally and personally.
That same mindset extends into the communities our members serve.
Whether supporting charitable dental clinics, helping deploy temporary treatment facilities, volunteering technical expertise, or contributing operational resources, DIA members continue to find ways to make a meaningful impact far beyond their businesses.
This page will continue to grow as additional projects, partnerships, outreach programs, and member initiatives are shared throughout the DIA community.
